We now have Area Analytics, powered by Alphamap, in our documents! We’ve added a new Power Page that can be utilized to display either the radius rings or the drive time that is shown in the area analytics tab and on your website. Although the data is consistent between the Area Analytics tab and the demographics tab, we now are able to display both the data and the map as well as showing drive time data in documents. Now, your info and map will be even more consistent between your website and your documents.
Before you Start
Updating the drive time and radius rings for your document is the same as updating for your website. You will go to the Area Analytics tab and adjust the miles for radius rings and minutes for drive time and click save. Once saved, this is what will be in the map on your Area Analytics page.
Using the Area Analytics Power Page
Once your drive time and radius rings are set, you can then go into your documents to see the correct drive times and radius rings, along with the data that follows, in the area analytics page.
You can select the map type that you want whether that be the default for the page, the full map, the horizontal map or the vertical map.
You can select different options such as swapping out the map or only showing specific area analytics data, etc.
You can also edit the options to show the map and data for drive time or radius rings.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why isn’t all of the data that’s in the area analytics tab available on the documents?
Alphamap provides a streamlined amount of data for documents, while the area analytics tab on websites offers a more comprehensive view for deeper insights.
What if I want to override the data with my own data?
We recommend you use the demographics tab of the listing, the demographics power page and the demographics tab of the website if you plan to override any data. Overriding data isn’t available for Area Analytics.
Will I be able to control the map type? (hybrid, satellite, road)?
No, this will be a feature request that we can pass to Alphamap.
